As an independent platform, Materia is constantly on the lookout for innovative materials for the creative professional. Every month their jury selects 20 new materials from the huge amount on offer in the international world. mafi natural wooden floors were selected for January. In addition Materia will present selected mafi products during the MaterialXperience fair in Shanghai, China. The fair will be held in the Eco part of the Build and Construction Expo on 27th , 28th and 29th of March, 2012. About 60.000 creative professionals visited this fair last year, and 9,1% of them were architects.
mafi trades on the principles of origin and sustainability – even the headquarters is located in the green field, on the edge of the largest continuous forest in Central Europe, the Kobernaußer Forest.

mafi floors are used very often in Bathrooms, Wellness Areas and Spas. As long as the floor gets the possibility to dry again, it is not a problem to use it in so called wet areas. (this is why we do not recommend it directly next to a pool where water can continuously spill over)
We got a award for the best booth on the Habitat & Jardin Fair in Lausanne/ Switzerland. This booth was designed in collaboration with our CI design partner AREA and with a young US graffiti-artist Brian.
A partner from mafi “Tectona Grandis Italia srl” was on the Spring Fair in Genoa ITA from 25th February to 06th of March and presented a lot of mafi products on a very beautiful booth. There was one big carving grunge I modul on the wall presented. On the floor was also one of mafi’s unique selling products installed – the Coral Oak violet, brushed white oiled. There was a table with mafi wood an the booth, the Tectona Grandis Ialia srl made it with Tiger Oak violet.
Our subsidiary mafi Italia is currently exhibiting at the Klimahouse – show in Bolzano, Italy. They got selected as one of the best exhibitors and were invited to a press video interview by a famous Italian magazine called edilcantiere.

mafi Flagshipstore is more than only a showroom for wooden floors, it is also a exhibition of art.
Every mafi wooden floor is a piece of art for itself no floor equals the other.
Exhibition:
You can see in the mafi Flagshipstore an exhibition of about 200 square meters. Once you come in you will be fascinated by the uniqueness of the floors. We have 100 different samples hidden from which we will find you favourite 2-3 samples.
In the kitchen of our showroom is a very grandiose prototype installed, mafi Glacier Oak white oiled, lye treated and with big branches.
In the exhibition room is the Oak Virgin with beautiful cracks that are cream colour filler, hand-planed surface and white oil. Similar products are Tiger Oak, Coral Oak and Magic Oak.
In our office you can see the Tiger Oak not only on the floor but also on the wall and on the ceiling. There is a very beautiful wall concept with integrated boards.
In storerooms and the toilet is the end-grained mafi Domino floor.
In the shopping window you can see the innovation 3-D massage effect floor mafi Fresco.
The mafi Flaghipstore offers the possibility for private customers and also for architects, designers, business partners and partners from other countries to see, feel and touch the floors. They have the chance to get a distinguished advice and a comprehensive picture of the whole wide spectrum of mafi products. We also consult architects and designers who want to work with mafi.
Important to know is that architects can use our showroom as well to consult their own clients. Also customers from our partners comes into the Flagshipstore because of our big exhibition and the profound personal consulting. We do the consulting for everybody who is interested in oiled floors, wood and interior solutions.
What else do they do in the mafi Flagshipstore?
We also make business meetings in the Flagshipstore with architects and business partners as well as trainings for partner, architects and installers.
The consultants from the Flagshipstore do not only have experience with wood and interior but also good experience with customers needs and satisfaction. They love doing the consulting as it is a welcome change to their responsibility of the global strategic sales development.
The office of the Flagship is the Export department of mafi and a consulting department as well. Everybody who gets there will get any needed information about natural oiled wooden floors even via skype.

You can park directly in front of the Store on a private lot. Please do not park in any lots of our neighbours as you might get fines then.

Visit us on the 100% design show in London from 23rd to 26th of September. We are on the exhibition and are presenting our newest product line mafi carving design.
Worldwide new is for one the design, the fashionable grunge look is now transferred to wood floors and the style is uniquely further developed. What’s more we doesn’t only provide a completely new look with their current carving floor, but gives the customers a compelling, and entirely convincible trend orientated marketing tool. The solely exclusive designed and manufactured natural wood floors include brand or campaign elements selected by the customer, who can garishly implement their products worldwide in their shops and by arrangement in prestigious hotels, bars or restaurants.
We developed a new product with surfaces that are like a massage to your feet walking barefoot over it and also another product line with a extravagant design which you never have seen before.
You can see the new planed product (for the massage effect) on the first pictures, it is the one with silver filled cracks. The name of this special new product is mafi Riva silver, hand-planed white oiled. It’s available in all Country and Coral variates and with a white, natural or grey oiled surface.
The other product presented on the Maison et Objet will be launched and officially presented in October 2010, than you will see pictures on our Blog. Be surprised!
