Wellness Areas upgraded with natural oiled wooden floors

Especially in areas where people want to relax and recreate body and mind you need to offer a very special room concept that makes people feel comfortable in this very second they enter the room. For ages mankind always used natural materials to create warm and healthy living conditions and relaxed atmospheres.

Wood can regulate the air humidity with absorbing and dispensing moisture what makes you feel comfortable. In contrast to laquered floors, the natural oiled surface of mafi floors do not prohibit this important moisture exchange: the wood can still breathe.

Natural oiled wooden floors are much more warmer to the touch. Even if you have the same measured temperature as on tiles or lacquered wood, your body has a warmer and cushier feeling. This implies that you do not need to put that much energy in your floor heating system for the same warming performance. Especially in big recreation areas this is a huge environmental advantage, not to mention the health advantage to your legs.

To give you an idea how much energy you can save with these facts you just have to imagine that you can reduce your underfloorheating for natural oiled wooden floors  between 5-7°C for the same warm feelingcompared to other materials like lacquers or tiles.¹
