mafi earns red dot design award

Design experts honour mafi fresco duna white in the red dot award: product design 2009
In one of the most renowned and hardest international design competitions, the red dot design award, the mafi fresco duna white by mafi – walk on art has just received an honourable mention from the top-class expert jury. With 3,231 products submitted to the competition, the product clearly stands out from the masses, because the design experts awarded 194 honourable mentions to those products which distinguished themselves with particularly successful design details. The festive awards presentation with more than 1,000 guests will take place in the Essen Opera House, the Aalto-Theatre, on 29 June 2009.
„Mafi Fresco is the perfect floor for Wellness-Areas and all other Living Areas, where you usually walk barefoot,“ explains Heidrun Fillafer the idea oft he product.
„The perfect craftsmenship on the surface with different shapes are not only looking perfect in a way of either waves (mafi fresco duna), points (mafi fresco punto) or diamonds (mafi fresco rombo), they also stimulate tired soles of feet“, Fillafer mentioned with a smile.
“We are very proud to get honourable mentioned for our product. This shows the enormous potential of natural wood floors”, Heidrun Fillafer finishes.
